Alzheimer's Services is a private, 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that was started in 1981 by family caregivers and community healthcare professionals and incorporated in 1984. For 15 years our organization operated as the Cape Cod and the Islands Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. In July 2002 our organization returned to independent, local status and is now helping people on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket as Alzheimer's Services of Cape Cod & the Islands, Inc. Our Services Include: - Telephone Helpline - Support Groups for patients, families, and youths - Education and training programs for people with Alzheimer's disease, family members and professional caregivers - A quarterly newsletter - Consultations
